This is not the actual one I used, but it looks exactly like it. This is a little machine that you put on your index finger to test your heart rate and oxygen levels. Per my Drs. orders this machine was dropped off to me yesterday to sleep with. Well needless to say, this is not the best sleeping buddy. It drove me nuts. I just keep watching it, it was actually freaking me out. Those of you who know me well know about my little heart thing. When my heart would do that thing the machine would start flashing yellow instead of green and my heart rate would drop way low, then catch back up. I was hooked on watching this happen. I woke up suddenly in the night and looked at it and my oxygen level was really low. FREAKING me totally out. Finally at 7:30am when Morgan woke up for the third time I took it off and had Ivan put it out on the porch for the guy to pick up this morning, I made it through the night (sigh)! If the results are bad, I have to go to a sleep center. Poor Morgan!!!HIGHLIGHTS
Today we went to the library. The Ogden nature center came and brought a couple of cool birds for the kids to see. One was a pelican he was so big and the kids were amazed by him. The other one was an owl. It was so cool to learn all about these birds.
Carter did really well with the crowd for about a 1/2 hour, then he started bugging other kids really bad, so bad I had to pull him away from the kids. I talked him into sitting in Morgans stroller so he could play with my camera and that lasted him about 10 minutes. I swear when Carter gets like this time seems to stop. So it was an extra long hour for me and I was glad to leave. Another child about 2 1/2 was screaming all through the library and the Mother was struggling. It was not a normal type of scream, it was a Carter type and my heart ached for this young mother as she struggled with a baby about 10 months old and a child about 5, trying to get the heck out of the library. I know that feeling all to well and no one ever offers to help, they just give you dirty looks and you feel all alone and embarrassed. I wished I could have helped her, but I had my hands full trying to keep Carter from having a melt down.
I remember the day this photo was taken. I made a decision that totally rocked my world, the decisions I made this day took me to North Carolina and Hawaii. The decision I made this day brought me a lot of new friends, jobs, and opportunity's. The decision I made this day brought me a lot of pain and heart ache and at times I thought it was the worst decision I had ever made.It is funny how things turn out in life. I must say the pain this decision brought me was well worth it. I have so much now and wouldn't change a thing. My most important thing in my life is my darling husband and beautiful children. I am so thankful for the gospel and how knowing my saviour has made me a stronger person. I am so thankful for supportive parents that have loved me all along the way no matter what my decisions are in life.
